The Documentation and Information Centre also has in stock other regional and international Standards. The Centre has a comprehensive collection of standards and related documents from Ghana as well as collections from international and regional standards setting bodies. The Centre is equipped with CD-ROMs on various fields of standardization such as import/export requirements as well as Technical and conformity assurance regulations and procedures for the countries trading partners, books and other reference materials. It has over three thousand periodicals. Ghana is a signatory to the WTO and it is obligated to implement the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT). The GSB hosts the WTO TBT Enquiry Point which was established in 1999 to serve as a store house for information on all WTO regulations and notifications. It houses all the recent technical regulation notifications from by the WTO. The Enquiry Point will forward any information on technical regulation of other WTO member states to relevant stakeholders. It also assists in answering local and foreign enquiries on any existing, proposed or adopted Standards, Technical Regulations and Conformity Assessment Procedures in Ghana and other WTO Member Countries
The Ghana TBT & SPS website (www.sps-tbt-ghana.org) was established in 2008 with the aim of providing technical information to exporters and importers on the subject of Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) and Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS). This effort is being driven by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, PSD and PSI under the Trade Sector Support Programme. The site is to enable Stakeholders understand how TBT and SPS issues affect their trading activities and to keep them informed about relevant changes in the international markets
