Ghana through the Ghana Standards Board takes part in international and regional standardization activities and is currently a Participating member in seventeen ISO Technical Committees and sub-committees. It also has observer member status in two ISO technical Committees. It is a member of the following organizations:
The Ghana Standards Board participates in the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Affiliate Country Programme.
The following Government agencies represent Ghana in other international Standards- setting bodies:
The Ghana Standards Board has since 2007 entered into four Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the Standards with the following standards organisations “Organization of Nigeria (SON)”, American Bullet Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and “Deutsches Institut fur Normung (DIN)”. The MOUs cover the areas of standards harmonization, development, capacity building and access to technical information.
